Comverse Technology, Inc. (CTI) is a holding company and conducts business through its subsidiaries, principally, its wholly owned subsidiary, Comverse, Inc., and its majority owned subsidiaries, Verint Systems and Starhome B.V. Its segments consist of Comverse Business Support Systems (BSS), Comverse Value-Added Services (VAS), and Verint. Comverse is a provider of software-based products, systems and related services, which provide converged, prepaid and postpaid billing and active customer management systems for wireless, wireline and cable network operators. Comverse enable wireless and wireline (including cable) network-based VAS, consists of two categories: Voice and Messaging and Internet Protocol (IP) communications. Comverse provides wireless users with optimized access to Internet websites, content and applications, manage and enforce policy and generate data usage and revenue for wireless operators. On August 4, 2011, Verint acquired Vovici Corporation.
