Tokai Kisen Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the marine transportation business. The Company operates in six business segments. The Marine Transportation-related segment provides passenger and cargo transportation services from Tokyo, Kurihama, Atami to the islands of Izu, as well as the circular tour business within Tokyo Bay. The Trading and Beverage segment is engaged in the sale of beverages and the operation of dinning saloons on board ferries and at passenger waiting areas, as well as the provision of daily necessities and construction materials on the islands of Izu. The Restaurant segment operates restaurants. The Hotel segment operates hotels on Oshima Island. The Tourists Automobile Transportation segment operates sightseeing buses on Oshima Island and provides automobile repair services. The Others segment provides repair and maintenance services for hulls and facilities. As of December 31, 2012, it had 12 subsidiaries and three associated companies.
