HOYA CORPORATION offers electronics-related products, imaging products, healthcare products and medical products. The Information and Communication business segment has two divisions. The Electronics division offers photomasks and mask blanks. The Image division provides optical lens and optical glass materials, digital camera modules and optical devices, and various laser equipment. The Life Care segment has two divisions. The Healthcare division offers eyeglass lenses and contact lenses. The Medical division provides endoscopes, medical accessories, intraocular lenses and artificial bones. The Others segment is involved in the building of information systems, and the business contracting services. As of March 31, 2012, the Company had 103 consolidated subsidiaries and nine associated companies. On February 1, 2013, it acquired a 30% stake in a 100% owned subsidiary of SEIKO HOLDINGS CORP, and the glasses and lens manufacturing business of Seiko Epson Corporation.
