AOI ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of electronic components. The Company operates in three business divisions. The Integrated Circuit (IC) division is engaged in the production and sale of ICs, modules, IC cards, hybrid ICs, optical sensors and light-emitting diode (LED) products, as well as the plating processing of IC production. The Functional Parts division produces and sells print heads and various sensors. The Passive Parts division is engaged in the manufacture and sale of chip network resistors, as well as the chip network resistor manufacturing related plating processing. As of March 31, 2012, the Company had one consolidated subsidiary and one associated company. On January 1, 2013, it acquired all shares of Renesas High Components, Inc.(RHC), and also acquired the sales operations including the sales forces of Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor, Inc. related to the contract manufacturing business of RHC.
