Ube Material Industries, Ltd. is a Japan-based manufacturing company operating in four business segments. The Magnesia segment manufactures and sells magnesia-related products, including magnesia clinker, magnesium hydroxide and magnesium oxide. The Calcia segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of calcia-related products, including calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate and soil solidification agents. The Fine segment manufactures and sells magnesia- and calcia-related fine products, such as ultrapure calcium carbonate, ultrapure calcium nitrate and ultrapure ultrafine magnesia based gas phases. The Others segment is engaged in the freight transportation business.
