TransCanada Corporation (TransCanada) is a North American energy infrastructure company. The Company operates in three segments Natural Gas Pipelines, Oil Pipelines and Energy. The Company is focused on natural gas pipelines, oil pipelines and energy. TransCanada is engaged in development and operation of North American energy infrastructure, including natural gas and regulated gas storage facilities. The Company�s Keystone Pipeline System which includes Gulf Coast Project is a 4,247 kilometers (2,639 miles) crude oil pipeline extending from Hardisty, Alberta, to the United States markets. The Energy segment of the Company includes the acquisition, development, construction, ownership and operation of electrical power generation plants, the purchase and marketing of electricity, the provision of electricity account services to energy and industrial customers, and the development, construction, ownership and operation of non-regulated natural gas storage in Alberta.
