First Asset Energy & Resource Fund (the Fund) was formed as a limited partnership. The Fund�s investment objective is to achieve long-term growth, primarily through capital appreciation but also through investment in income generating assets, including units of income trusts. The Fund invests in a diversified portfolio of securities of businesses active in, or providing service and/or support to businesses active in, the exploration, production, transportation or distribution of all forms of energy and natural resources. The Fund will invest a minimum of 70% of the Fund�s net asset value (NAV) (at the time of investment) in shares of issuers which are listed and posted for trading on a North American stock exchange or quoted on a quotation system in the United States, such as the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation (NASDAQ). First Asset Investment Management Inc. acts as the investment manager and advisor to the Fund.
