TransGlobe Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust (the REIT) is an unincorporated, open-ended real estate investment trust. The REIT was established to own multi-suite residential rental properties across Canada. The REIT owns a geographically diverse portfolio of 174 residential rental properties comprising approximately 21,500 suites in 81 High Rise, 80 Mid Rise and 195 Low Rise and 8 townhouse complexes principally located in urban centers in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. On October 18, 2011 the REIT completed the indirect acquisition, though a Partnership, a portfolio of 23 properties owned and operated by a third party in Halifax and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Moncton, Dieppe and Fredericton, New Brunswick. On March 1, 2011, the REIT indirectly acquired, through a Partnership, five residential properties owned and operated by a third party in Moncton, Dieppe and Shediac, New Brunswick. The Properties comprised 20 buildings, totaling 543 suites.
