BlackPearl Resources Inc. (BlackPearl) is an oil and natural gas company. It is engaged in the business of oil and gas exploration, development and production in North America. BlackPearl�s primary focus is on heavy oil and oil sands projects in Western Canada. As of December 31, 2012, BlackPearl�s core properties included Onion Lake, Saskatchewan; Mooney, Alberta, and Blackrod, Alberta. Onion Lake is a conventional heavy oil property located in the Lloydminster area in Saskatchewan. BlackPearl holds working interests, ranging from 50% to 100%, in approximately 19 net sections of land located in the Onion Lake area of Saskatchewan. Mooney is a conventional heavy oil property located in northern Alberta. Blackrod is an in-situ steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) oil sands project located south of Fort McMurray, in the Athabasca oil sands region of northern Alberta.
