Description

Primaris Retail Real Estate Investment Trust (Primaris) is an unincorporated, open-ended real estate investment trust. As of December 31, 2011, the portfolio occupancy rate was 97.1%. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had 17 properties, which include Dufferin Mall, Eglinton Square, Heritage Place, Lambton Mall and Place d�Orleans. Primaris leased 1,235,102 square feet of space during the year ended December 31, 2011. This represented 418 leases of smaller stores and 17 tenants. Primaris acquired Oakville Place in Oakville, Ontario, Burlington Mall in Burlington, Ontario, Place Vertu in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, St. Albert Centre in St. Albert, Alberta and Tecumseh Mall in Windsor, Ontario on June 22, 2011. In November of 2011, Primaris purchased a property adjacent to Northland Village Shopping Centre. In April 2013, H&R Real Estate Investment Trust acquired Primaris and its remaining 27 properties.
