Methanex Corporation is a Canada-based company, producing and supplying methanol to international markets in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and South America. The Company�s total annual production capacity, including Methanex interests in jointly owned plants, is approximately 7.3 million tonnes. The Company has marketing rights for entire production from the jointly owned plants in Trinidad and Egypt and this provides approximately 1.3 million tonnes per year of methanol. It operates production sites in Canada, Chile, Egypt, New Zealand, and Trinidad and Tobago. The Company is growing its production base in the United States by relocating two methanol plants from Chile to Geismar, Louisiana. The Company has a global supply chain of terminals, storage facilities and the dedicated fleet of methanol ocean tankers. Methanex�s wholly owned subsidiary, Waterfront Shipping, operates the largest methanol ocean tanker fleet in the world.
