Daylight Energy Ltd. (Daylight), formerly Daylight Resources Trust, is engaged in the business of oil and gas exploration, exploitation, development and production in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. Daylight's exploration, exploitation and development program is focused in three core areas: Pembina, where it is developing a oil resource play; West Central Alberta, where it is developing natural gas resource plays, and Peace River Arch, where it is developing multiple zone natural resource plays focused on the Cadomin, Nikanassin and Montney zones. The Pembina property is located approximately 145 kilometers southwest of Edmonton, Alberta near the community of Drayton Valley. The Pembina area consists of six sub-properties: Tomahawk, Brazeau, Warburg, Violet Grove, Easyford and the Pembina Keystone Cardium Unit No.3. On May 12, 2010, it acquired West Energy Ltd. Effective July 1, 2010, it sold certain oil and natural gas assets in Eastern Alberta.
