Coast Wholesale Appliances Inc. (Coast), formerly Coast Wholesale Appliances Income Fund (the Fund), is an independent supplier of household appliances and accessories. It combines sales to developers and builders of multi-family and single-family housing with direct retail sales at 15 stores across the four western provinces and one store in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Its product mix includes refrigerators, freezers, electric and gas ranges, wall ovens, hood fans, dishwashers, home and commercial laundry washers and dryers, microwaves, gas and electric cook tops, wine coolers and warming ovens. In addition, it sells barbecues, free standing air conditioners, garburators, household water purification systems, and water softeners and supplies. on January 1, 2011, the Company became the successor to the Fund following the completion of the conversion of the Fund from an income trust structure to a corporate structure.
