Alliance Grain Traders Inc. (AGT) through its subsidiaries is engaged in the business of sourcing and processing (cleaning, splitting, sorting and bagging) specialty crops, primarily for export markets. AGT�s subsidiaries and facilities in Canada, the United States, Turkey, Europe, Australia, South Africa and China handle a range of pulses and specialty crops, including lentils, peas, chickpeas, beans and canary seed. Its durum wheat milling operations in Turkey also produces semolina, pasta (under the Arbella brand) and bulgur wheat. AGT is also involved in milling medium grain rice and long grain rice in Turkey. AGT owns 12 processing plants in Canada, two in the United States, four in Australia, one in China, nine in Turkey, and one in South Africa. On October 11, 2011, AGT acquired Advance Seed Proprietary Limited. On July 29, 2011, AGT acquired Canz Commodities. On November 3, 2011, AGT acquired certain real property, storage and related handling equipment.
