Aurora Oil & Gas Limited (Aurora) is an Australia-based company engaged in oil and gas exploration, development and production in North America. As of June 30, 2012, the Company participated in over 77,000 gross acres in the Eagle Ford Shale, including over 19,300 net acres within the liquids-rich zones of the trend. In the Eagle Ford, the Company holds its acreage in four separate areas of mutual interest (AMI): Longhorn, Sugarloaf, Ipanema and Excelsior. The Company holds different working interests in these contiguous AMI areas. As of June 30, 2012, the Company had 72 new wells spudded, 65 wells drilled and cased and 57 wells put on production. On August 13, 2012, Aurora acquired Eureka Energy Limited, after which Aurora held 28.1% interest in total in the Sugarloaf Project.
