Rio Verde Minerals Development Corporation (Rio Verde), formerly EM Resources Inc., is a development-stage company engaged in exploration and development of fertilizer projects in Brazil. Rio Verde's primarily focuses on potash project, the Sergipe Potash Project, which consists of 86 exploration licenses, over a total area of 123,170 hectares of land. The Sergipe Potash Project is located in the Sergipe state in Northerneastern Brazil and is an exploration-stage project. It has identified seven potash drill-ready targets in the Sergipe Potash Project. Its portfolio of phosphate projects includes several exploration and development projects, such as Monte Alegre Project, Curua Project, Serra Negra Project, Tabuleiro Project and Mandacaru Project. In March 2013, the Company announced the completion of the acquisition of Rio Verde by B&A Fertilizers Limited (B&A Fertilizers), a wholly-owned subsidiary of B&A Mineracao S.A.
