Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA, formerly COSIPA - Companhia Siderurgica Paulista, is a Brazil-based company engaged in the steel industry. The Company is principally involved in the production and sale of flat rolled steel. As of December 31, 2011, it had a capacity to produce 9.5 million tons of steel per year. The Company and its subsidiaries operate throughout the steel production process. The Company divides its business into four units: Mining and Logistics, Steel Works, Steel Transformation and Capital Goods. The Company provides its products to various industrial sectors, such as automotive, marine, oil and gas, construction, machinery and equipment, among others. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had a number of subsidiaries, including Automotiva Usiminas SA, Cosipa Commercial Ltd, Cosipa Overseas Ltd, Mineracao Usiminas SA, Rios Unidos Logistica e Transporte de Aco Ltda, Solucoes em Aco Usiminas SA and Usiminas Europa AS, among others.
