Stream Communications Network & Media Inc. (Stream), provides cable television (TV) and high-speed Internet access in Poland through its subsidiaries. Stream provides cable television services and high-speed Internet access in the Polish districts of Slaskie, Malopolskie, Swietokrzyskie and Podkarpackie through its hybrid fibre coax (HFC) networks. It also offers limited Internet telephony services based on voice over Internet protocol (VoIP). In February 2008, the Company announced that it had closed the sale of its majority interest in its wholly owned subsidiary, Stream Communications Sp. Z o.o. In May 2008, the Company announced the acquisition of a triple play network in Suwalki, a city located in northeast Poland, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Stream Investments Sp z o.o. The Suwalki Network is a broadband network with 16,000 homes passed, and offers triple play services, including digital television, Internet and telephony.
