Sibir'telekom OAO (Sibirtelecom OJSC) is a provider of telecommunication services in the Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation. The Company provides a range of the telecommunication services, including traditional telecommunication services, intelligent network services, dial-up Internet access, assymmetrical digital subscriber line 2+ (ADSL2+) and Ethernet to the home (ETTH) access. The various services provided by the Company also include local and intra-zone communication, information and inquiry services, voice over Internet protocol, cable television, cellular and mobile communication, wired and on-air radio broadcasting, telegraphic communication and public payphones. The Company operates on the territory of five 115 thousand square kilometers with population about 20 million people. The Company is controlled by Svyazinvest, OJSC, which owned 50.7% of its ordinary shares as of December 31, 2009.
