BioSolar, Inc. (Biosolar) is developing a technology to produce bio-based materials from renewable plant sources. The Company is focusing its research and product development efforts on producing bio-based components that meet the thermal requirements of current solar module manufacturing processes. The Company is focusing its research and product development efforts on bio-based backsheets, substrates, superstrates, module and panel components. BioSolar develops and produces bio-based components. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had developed multiple versions of its bio-based backsheet. Biobacksheet obtained Underwriters Laboratories' (UL) material certification in February 2011.
