ON Semiconductor Corporation (ON Semiconductor) is a supplier of silicon solutions for energy efficient electronics. Its portfolio of power and signal management, logic, discrete and custom devices helps customers solve their design challenges in automotive, communications, computing, consumer, industrial, light emitting diode (LED) lighting, medical, military/aerospace, smart grid and power applications. The Company operates in four segments: computing and consumer products group, automotive, industrial, medical and mil-aero products group, standard products group and SANYO Semiconductor products group. On January 1, 2011, the Company acquired SANYO Semiconductor Co. Ltd. (SANYO Semiconductor). On February 27, 2011, the Company acquired complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor business unit from Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (Cypress Semiconductor).
