Douglas Dynamics, Inc. is engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of snow and ice control equipment for light trucks, which consists of snowplows, sand and salt spreaders, and related parts and accessories. The Company sell its products under the WESTERN, FISHER and BLIZZARD brands. It offers the broadest and complete product line of snowplows and sand and salt spreaders for light trucks in the United States and Canadian markets. The Company also provide a range of related parts and accessories. It sell its products through a distributor network primarily to professional snowplowers who are contracted to remove snow and ice from commercial, municipal and residential areas. During the year ended December 31, 2010 (during 2010), 86% of its net sales were generated from sales of snow and ice control equipment, and 14% of its net sales were generated from sales of parts and accessories. In May 2013, the Company acquired all the assets of TrynEx, Inc.
