The Nuveen Short Duration Credit Opportunities Fund (the Fund) is a newly organized, diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund�s investment objective is to provide current income and the potential for capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in a blended portfolio of adjustable rate corporate debt instruments, including senior secured loans, second lien loans and other adjustable rate corporate debt instruments. The Fund invests at least 70% of its Managed Assets in adjustable rate senior loans and second lien loans. Senior loans are made to borrowers that operate in various industries and geographic regions. Senior loans and other adjustable rate instruments pay interest at rates, which are determined periodically at short-term intervals on the basis of an adjustable base lending rate, the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR), plus a premium.
