International Shipholding Corporation (International Shipholding) is engaged in operating a diversified fleet of United States and international flag vessels. The Company is involved in providing international and domestic maritime transportation services to commercial and governmental customers primarily under medium to long-term time charters. The Company operates in six segments: Jones Act, Pure Car Truck Carriers, Dry Bulk Carriers, Rail-Ferry, Specialty Contracts and Other. As of December 31, 2013, International Shipholding owned or operated 50 ocean-going vessels. The Company’s other subsidiaries, including LMS Shipmanagement, Inc. (LMS) and N. W. Johnsen & Co., Inc. provides ship management, ship charter brokerage, agency and other specialized services.
