Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior SA (Bladex) is a supranational bank headquartered in Panama and established by Latin American and Caribbean countries central banks. The Bank is engaged in the provision of products and services to selected commercial banks and corporations, through the operation of four main business units: Traditional Foreign Trade, which offers loans, commercial letters, reimbursement undertakings and discounted notes, among others; Structured Foreign Trade, which comprises guarantees of official export development programs or receivable financing by private insurance companies; Syndicated Structured Financing, where structures, distributes and manages syndicated loans, and Leasing, with the provision of cash financing to specific assets according to the requirements of entities. In addition, the Bank does not provide retail banking services to the general public, such as retail savings accounts or checking accounts, and does not take retail deposits.
