It invests at least 80% of its net assets in municipal obligations that pay interest exempt from California individual income tax and regular federal income tax, but not necessarily the federal alternative minimum tax. The fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in high-quality, short-term money market instruments that pay interest subject to California individual income tax and regular federal income tax.
