Description
The investment seeks to provide as high a level of income exempt from federal income taxes and California personal income taxes as is consistent with prudent investment management and the preservation of shareholders' capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities that pay interest free from federal income taxes, including the federal alternative minimum tax, and from California personal income taxes. It invests at least 65% of its total assets in California municipal securities. The fund also may invest up to 35% of its total assets in municipal securities issued by U.S. territories.
