Ecofin Water & Power Opportunities plc is an investment trust. The Company�s investment objective is to achieve a dividend yield on its investment portfolio and to realise long-term growth in the capital value of the portfolio. The Company invests primarily in the equity and equity-related securities of utility and utility-related companies in the developed OECD economies but may invest, to a limited extent, in the debt securities of such companies. Utility companies are those engaged in the electric power, water and waste water, gas and energy transmission industries. Utility-related companies are those that supply equipment, technology, fuel or services to utility companies or which supply essential infrastructure services. It may invest up to 20% of its assets in companies in the emerging economies, up to 25% of its assets in unquoted companies and up to 15% of its assets in collective investment vehicles.
