Hanergy Solar Group Limited, formerly Apollo Solar Energy Technology Holdings Limited, is an investment holding company. The Company, along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in producing equipment and turnkey production lines for manufacture of amorphous silicon based thin film solar photovoltaic modules, as well as the design, manufacture and sale of toys. The Company operates in one segment: manufacture of equipment and turnkey production lines, which includes the manufacture of equipment and turnkey production lines for the manufacture of amorphous silicon based thin film solar photovoltaic modules. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company discontinued the toys and moulds business, which includes the design, manufacture and sale of toys and manufacture of moulds for sales to customers.
