Sinotrans Shipping Limited is a shipping company that owns and operates a fleet of vessels, which mainly engage in dry bulk vessel time chartering and dry bulk cargo voyage charter, among others. It has four segments: Dry bulk shipping, which is engaged in dry bulk vessel time chartering and dry bulk cargo voyage charter; Oil tanker shipping, which involves crude oil shipping services; Container shipping, which involves container vessel time chartering, and Others, which involves shipping agency, ship management services and vessel leasing under finance lease. As of December 31, 2011, it owned a fleet of 51 vessels with an aggregate capacity of 3.2 million deadweight tons (DWT) and an average age of approximately 9.3 years, and its fleet comprised 40 dry bulk vessels with an aggregate capacity of approximately 2.79 million DWT, one oil tanker with capacity of approximately 310,000 DWT, and 10 container vessels with an aggregate capacity of 6,667 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU).
