EnviTec Biogas AG is a Germany-based holding company primarily engaged in the biogas plant construction. The Company operates three segments: Plant Construction; Own Plant Operation, and Service. The Plant Construction segment comprises the planning, approval planning and construction of biogas plants. The Company's product portfolio in this segment covers the complete value chain of biogas plant engineering for plants from 370 kilowatts electric (KWel). As of December 31, 2011, the installed capacity totaled to 294 megawatts (MW). The Own Plant Operation comprises the generation of electricity, heat and gas in the Company's own biogas plants in Germany and abroad. The Service segment comprises the technical and biological maintenance of biogas plants. The services offered in this segment include regular plant inspections and training of the operators and their employees. In 2011, it established new business segment Energy engaged in the heat distribution under supply contracts.
