Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited (COPL), along with its subsidiaries, is an international oil and gas exploration and development company with operations in offshore West Africa and in the United Kingdom North Sea. It is engaged in the identification, acquisition, exploration and development of oil and natural gas offshore reserves. The Bluebell prospect is a Paleocene depth exploration well that spans blocks 15/24c and 15/25f in the United Kingdom Central North Sea. The Fulla is located in Block 206/5a that is located in the West of the Shetland Islands area of the Atlanic Margin. The Freya prospect is in Block 206/10a and is located next to the Fulla discovery in Block 206/5. The Esperanza discovery is located in Block 22/15. The Banks discovery is in Block 22/15. In May 2011, Canadian Overseas Petroleum (Bermuda Holdings) Limited and Canadian Overseas Petroleum (Bermuda) Limited (COPL Bermuda) were created to conduct operations in offshore Liberia.
