Desert Star Resources Ltd is engaged in the acquisition and exploration of resource properties. The Company focuses on the identification, acquisition and development of copper and gold projects in top-tier mineral belts located in the southwestern United States. The Company's projects include Oro and Callagan. The Oro Project is located approximately 80 kilo meters southwest of the Silver City porphyry copper district and lies within the prolific Laramide Porphyry Copper Belt . The Company has an option agreement with Southern Silver Exploration Corp. to earn up to a 70% interest in Southern Silver's copper and gold project, situated in Grant County, New Mexico. The project consists of two state leases, eight mineral patents, three surface lots and 163 federal mining claims. Its Callaghan property is situated in Lander County, Nevada. The property contains a small upper plate hosted gold resource.
