Derek Oil and Gas Corporation (Derek) is a Canada-based company. The Company is engaged in the exploration and development of oil and gas properties in North America. The Company focuses on the development of its Wyoming based LAK Ranch oil project. The Company�s 9000 acre LAK Ranch property is located on the eastern margin of the Powder River Basin, approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) southeast of Newcastle, northeastern Wyoming. It has a 95% working interest and is in partnership with SEC Oil & Gas, which has a 5% working interest. It also has a 4.4% royalty on all oil production to basement within the property. The Company has 12 well programs, including eight vertical producer wells and four injector wells. During the fiscal year ended April 30, 2012 (fiscal 2012), the Company had a production from the Newcastle Sandstone approximately 9,874 barrels of oil.
