Goodricke Group Limited is engaged in the business of cultivation, manufacture and sale of tea. It has tea estates in Darjeeling, Dooars (North Bengal) and Assam. The Company owns 17 tea gardens each having its own processing factory, one instant tea plant and a tea blending unit. Its principal products and services include Indian black tea and instant tea powder. The Company operates in two segments: Export and Domestic. Its brands include Badamtam Chestlet, Castleton Caddy, Castleton Premium, Castleton Premium Darjeeling Tea Bag, Darjeeling Three-in-One Metal Caddy, Margaret's Hope Caddy, Seasons-Three-in-one Pinewood Chestlet, Special Darjeeling Roasted Jar, Thurbo Carton, Barnesbeg Organic Green Tea, Goodricke Chai CTC Dust and Goodricke Chai CTC Leaf. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company produced 20.66 million kilograms of tea and 270,841 kilograms of instant tea.
