Ashoka Buildcon Limited is engaged in the construction of infrastructure facilities on engineering, procurement and construction basis (EPC) and built, operate and transfer (BOT) basis and sale of ready mix concrete and bitumen. The Company operates in three segments: Construction & Contract related activities, which consists of execution of engineering and construction projects to provide solutions in civil and electrical engineering to core / infrastructure sectors; BOT Projects, which consists of execution of the projects on long term basis comprising developing, operating and maintaining the infrastructure facility, and Sales of Goods, which includes the activity of selling of ready mix concrete (RMC). On March 31, 2012, the Company acquired some interests in Viva Infrastructure Private Limited. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012, it incorporated Ashoka Cuttack Angul Tollway Limited and Ashoka Concessions Private Limited.
