Nevada Iron Ltd, formerly Richmond Mining Limited, is a mineral exploration company. The Company's Buena Vista Iron Project is a magnetite iron deposit located approximately 450 kilometers northeast of San Francisco, United States of America. In January 2010, Richmond entered into an option to purchase a 100% equity in the project and in June 2011, this option was exercised. The general geology of Buena Vista consists of basaltic volcanic rocks of Jurrasic age. The project's magnetite deposits have similarities to the high grade magnetite deposits of Kiruna in Sweden and Savage River in Tasmania and are different to the typical Banded Iron Formation magnetite deposit of Western Australia. Total indicated Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) resources for the West Deposit are 65.1 million tons, grading 22.5% total iron (Fe). The Company also holds 100% interest in the Loongana nickel sulphide project and the Narracoota gold project.
