Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd., formerly IESI-BFC Ltd. is a waste management company. The Company provides non-hazardous solid waste collection and disposal services to commercial, industrial, municipal and residential customers in 12 states and the District of Columbia in the United States and six Canadian provinces. The Company operates through three segments: Canada, U.S. south and U.S. northeast. The Company�s operations service to various Canadian and United States markets and it operates landfills, transfer stations, material recovery facilities (MRFs) and three landfill gas to energy facilities. Its brands include IESI, BFI Canada and Waste Services. On May 2, 2011, IESI-BFC Ltd. completed an amalgamation with its wholly owned subsidiary, Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd. In November 2012, the Company acquired Choice Environmental Services, Inc., through wholly owned subsidiary Waste Services of Florida, Inc.
