Anfield Nickel Corp., formerly Anfield Ventures Inc., is a resource exploration company focusing on the acquisition, exploration and development of nickel exploration projects. The Company owns a 100% interest in Mayaniquel, S.A. (Mayaniquel), which controls certain mineral exploration licenses, collectively the Mayaniquel Project, located in the nickel laterite belt in the eastern part of Guatemala. The Mayaniquel Project comprises approximately 80,000 hectares of mineral exploration licences. It operates in Canada and Guatemala. On May 13, 2009, the Company completed the acquisition of Mayaniquel, S.A. from BHP Billiton Minerals Holdings Pty Ltd. and The Broken Hill Company Pty Ltd. (collectively, BHP Billiton). In January 2010, the Company commenced an initial drill program for an estimated 44,000 meters of drilling on the Mayaniquel project.
