(Reuters) - Canadian miner Teck Resources TCKb.TO TCK.N reported a fourth-quarter loss, hurt by lower commodity prices and an asset impairment charge of C$536 million ($384 million).
On a per-share basis, the Montreal-based company said it had net income of 16 cents. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 17 cents per share.
Telus Corp, one of Canada's three big telecom providers, reported a 16 per cent fall in quarterly profit, hurt by increased competition and weaker demand for its wireless services.
The San Francisco group said its base of monthly active users was 320 million at the end of last year, unchanged from the previous quarter.
