Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited is a company primarily engaged in petroleum and petrochemical industries. The Company mainly operates in five segments: synthetic fibers, resins and plastics, intermediate petrochemical products, petroleum products and petrochemical products trading. The synthetic fibers segment mainly produces polyester and acrylic fibers, which are used in textile and clothing industries. The resins and plastics segment produces polyester chips, high-pressure polyethylene resins and films, polypropylene resins and polyvinyl alcohol particles. The intermediate petrochemical products segment produces ethylene and benzene. The petroleum products segment produces vacuum gas oil and diesel for its downstream processing equipment, utilizing its crude oil distillation equipment.
