IPEC Global brings closure to customers' products. Through its International Plastics and Equipment Corp. and other subsidiaries, the company produces caps for PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and HDPE (high-density polyethylene) bottles. Caps include tamper-evident screw-on closures, push/pull, and snap on. Its lineup is used in bottling non-carbonated beverages, including juices, bottled water, and milk (60% of sales). It also offers capping equipment design, manufacture, and maintenance. IPEC Global (formerly IPEC Holdings) sells direct through its US-based sales force to customers in North America, as well as Europe and Israel. In late 2010 packaging giant Silgan Holdings acquired IPEC for $47.9 million.
