Clients include financial institutions, corporations, and government agencies. SafeNet counts Citigroup, Dell, Starbucks, Netflix, Cisco, and the US Defense Department among its blue-chip customers. Private equity firm Vector Capital took SafeNet private in 2007; the company filed for an IPO in 2010, but withdrew it in 2012.
