Endangered Species Chocolate works to protect the environment one bar at a time. The company manufactures confections out of cocoa sourced from family farmers and cooperatives. Endangered Species offers some 30 different products, including candy bars such as dark chocolate with hazelnut toffee, milk chocolate with cherries, and smooth white chocolate; it also makes organic chocolate bars and chocolate pieces. Endangered Species' products are sold through retailers such as Target and at specialty and health-food stores, including Whole Foods, throughout the US. Indicative of its name, the company donates 10% of its after-tax profits to environmental conservation groups.
