The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources operates through the Department of Environmental Conservation, the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation. Included among the duties of the Department of Environmental Conservation are environmental permits, watershed planning, and storm-water management. The Department of Fish and Wildlife not only enforces the states hunting and fishing laws, but also looks after non-game species. The Vermont State Parks system is the responsibility of the Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation.
