Cision US doesn't underestimate the value of a precise message. The subsidiary of Sweden-based research firm Cision AB provides software and services for public relations and marketing professionals. Its flagship CisionPoint product is an integrated software application for managing PR campaigns. The company also monitors, plans, and analyzes news and information from print and electronic media sources; maintains a database of media contacts, clippings, and reports; and distributes press releases. Cision US has about a dozen offices throughout the US. The company began as a news clipping service (Bacon's Information) in 1932. Cision AB acquired Bacon's in 2001; it was re-branded as Cision US in 2007.
