Groupama Insurance has a group mentality. The mutual insurer, commonly referred to as Groupama Insurances, offers its members a cooperative sort of structure, which provides ownership benefits, along with the usual insurance products. It offers auto, homeowners, accident, and travel coverage to individuals, as well as commercial property/casualty insurance to small and midsized businesses. Groupama Insurances has about half a dozen offices throughout the country and sells its wares through a network of direct and independent brokers. The company is a subsidiary of French financial services group Groupama SA; however, it agreed to be acquired by Benelux firm Ageas Insurance in 2012.
