Wells Real Estate Funds sponsors several investment programs, including the Wells Real Estate Investment Trust II, which invests in high-quality commercial properties, and the Wells Timberland Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), which owns more than 300,000 acres of commercial forest in Alabama and Georgia. Wells Real Estate Funds also manages about 15 limited partnership funds that invest in income-producing commercial properties. Its Wells Core Office Income REIT invests in mostly office properties. Established in 1984, Wells Real Estate Funds is owned by founder and president Leo Wells.
