Though not necessarily amphibious, Southern Vectis provides busing services on the Isle of Wight and in Southampton and South Hampshire. It offers 24 hour bus services centered on three routes, and its coaches are branded under two lines: West Wight and Fountain Coaches. Buses within its fleet typically have about 55 seats. Southern Vectis also provides tourist services through its Island Breezer open top tours at four locations (Needles, Ryde, Sandown, and Shanklin). The company traces its roots back to 1929 through the merger of Southern Railway and Vectis Bus Company. The Go-Ahead Group, one of the UK's largest public-transport providers, acquired Southern Vectis in 2005.
