Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH) invests in the health of the next generation. Founded in 1983, the hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical services specifically for children and adolescents in the greater Phoenix area. The hospital has about 465 beds and provides care in a number of pediatric sub-specialties, including childhood cancers, hematology, neuroscience, heart disease, trauma, and orthopedics. In addition to a newborn intensive care unit (NICU) at its main campus, PCH operates a second NICU on the campus of Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center (a member of Banner Health). It also has several pediatric outpatient care centers in surrounding Phoenix suburbs.
